Hi from Zambia

Post  zambiamud on Wed 22 Aug - 10:22

Hello - greetings from Lusaka, Zambia.
I just bought a T50 about 3 weeks ago, and can't believe this thing. It's incredible.
I think it's a 1983? (22F). I paid $700 for it (have not clue if that's good or not)
It appears to be in good condition, getting 45kml? (is that possible?), shifting nicely, and easily reaching 50-65kmh.
Less than 6000km on the clock, and it appears to be a japanese domestic model (everything is in japanese)
No advice needed (yet), but just so chuffed with this thing.
Tires are shot (cracked and appear quite old), and side mirror is stripped...but aside from that, it seems mint.

Small vid here:

Welcome to the forum
Yes looks like one of the single seat Jap home market ones, 12 volt with electric start BUT only 3 gears.
UK dual seat should fit if you remove the rack.
Things like starter motors and the 12 v electrics are not available in UK (and presumably not in Zambia) There appear to starters on eBay in USA. Of course if starter motor fails you can easily kick start it as with the European ones
