Break down no spark
I booked my T80 in for and MOT after it had stood idle for quite some time, I new that it had an ignition fault but thought that after I had replaced the ignition coil I fixed the fault.
How Wrong was I!
I zooming a long down hill 40mph 5 miles in to my trip and it starts popping and back firing just when I thought I had cracked it.
I pulled over removed the plug no spark cdi must have gave up the ghost shit!
whats the chance of getting a spark its not like you can clean the points and it will get you home.
And at the bottom of the hill no signal on my phone thats helpful.
Any way I removed the left hand engine cover and the removed the screw to the pick up coil gave the magnetic eye a clean and refitted it back.
I gave a gentle prod on the kicker as I held the HT lead agains the motor BIG blue spark !
Quick bang every thing back togeather it starts easy and the ride back home was faultless.
