Pictures of a T80 side panel.
Hi All,
I am wondering if anyone can help me out. I am after a good quality, close up image of the "Townmate 4 STROKE SHAFT" sticker that is usually on the side panels.
It is highly likely that the stickers are no longer available from Yamaha, so it looks like I will need to reproduce a couple for my T80 as it doesn't have them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I have looked on the web without any luck.
Cheers, Frank.

Re: Pictures of a T80 side panel.
Hi Doug,
Thanks heaps. my email address is: franktheodore@ymail.com
I have seen the SHAFT DRIVE decal on the shaft drive housing but I have been told it was on the Asian models only. I have checked with the help of a spare parts person at Yamaha Australia who has access to the Japanese Spare Parts Database and that is what he told me. It is not available.
Also, would you happen to have the following decals on your T80?
Gear selection decal on the handlebars, and the two small labels on the right side of the rear mud guard behind the rear shock absorber.
Cheers, Frank.

Hi Misiopajur,
Do you mean you have the TOWNMATE decals? Do you have left and right?
If so, how can I pay you for postage to Sydney?
Please let me know.
Cheers, Frank.

Re: Pictures of a T80 side panel.
Guys,
Does anyone know where I can get Decals for the casing - I have the originals but I will be spraying the casing and I doubt i'll be able to put them back on.

Hi, I have taken off the old sticker before I got the side pannels resprayed. The stickers were in pretty good condition - I'm going to take it to a printer and see can I get the recreated. I'll let you know how I get on - If it's a good job I'll get a few sets

SunnyStickers
Here in the UK I've used http://www.sunnystickers.co.uk/ to produce decals. I spent some time producing a photoshop image which I uploaded to their site. The decals were on the doormat two days later. Do spend a little time getting your image just right, colour and size, at good resolution ( 300dpi ). I was pleased with the results.

Re: Pictures of a T80 side panel.
I tried these guys a few months back but they were unable to help me out so the only option was to reproduce the artwork myself. Having now done that I will be getting a batch printed along with the other decals on the bike as per the originals, UV sensitive inks on clear vinyl. Not too sure how much they will end up costing, but I doubt they will be expensive. I have searched high and low to see if they are available but unfortunately they are not, not even in Japan.
For those that are interested, let me know if you would be willing to purchase a set. It would be good to get an idea of numbers.
Regards, Frank.

Re: Pictures of a T80 side panel.
Hi All,
Apart from another member who has already contacted me, to those of you who are interested in a set of decals for your T80 please let me know.
I will be reproducing:
• Side panels - Left and Right
• "4 SPEED" decal on the handlebars,
• "SHAFT DRIVE" decal on the shaft drive housing,
• VIN decal, but I believe there is no point as it is dedicated to the VIN number of each bike, from which I believe you guys in the UK can already get otherwise if you still want one of these, I will need your VIN to have it printed as such.
I can get them reproduced at a reasonable cost but numbers would be good.
Let me know,
Cheers, Frank.

Re: Pictures of a T80 side panel.
Hi All,
I probably should have replied with an update a while back. Apologies but unfortunately to get these printed will be too expensive and the screen printer that does all the automotive decals for the classic cars here in Australia is not interested in doing them. Not worth it for him or he couldn't be bothered, not sure. I spoke to him on the phone twice an emailed him twice with the artwork ready to go and haven't heard anything since, this was earlier this year. To do these properly, they have to be screen printed or printed on a plotter that prints white and not many do. I was promised by a few places they could do them, but when I showed a sample of the original, they could not supply the same but only a layered vinyl kind which is not right. We work with a proofer supplier and they sometimes have some EPSON digital proofers that can print on clear vinyl and print UV sensitive inks. They have these for testing purposes. If I get any more info, I'll post a reply. Regards, Frank.
