Right Rear View Mirror
When I got my 1984 Townmate, the hole and thread for the right hand mirror had broken off. I have glued it all back in but not fitted a mirror yet as I fear it may all snap off. If this happens at top speed, it's potentially dangerous, as is riding with no mirrors.
Can anyone suggest some sort of fix or compromise so I can have a mirror?
Thanks.

Re: Right Rear View Mirror
You will have to buy a new twistgrip/front brake housing the thread is left hand so you cant get it helicoiledfender wrote:When I got my 1984 Townmate, the hole and thread for the right hand mirror had broken off. This is a problem because the switch construction material is rather aluminum and the mirror screw is made of iron.
You can visit a machine shop and place a new thread like this.
The new thread enters as the hole grows in diameter and sticks with glue.
