left to do !
Ok guys here where help is required :
Things needed :
1. A good handlebar, surface rust is ok, going to be sprayed.
2. A set of wheels, have to be near enough mint, mine have surface rust that has eaten into chrome
3. headlight surround, chrome, mine has chrome flaking off.
4. exhaust, probably going to buy brand new
5. a mint legshield and front white panel, there is a bike reflector screwed onto mine !
6. decals for side panels, sourcing off a printer guy on facebook for 20 quid .
Probably looking at spending £550 in total at the end but should end up looking as good as i can get new, it was never about the cost but about the enjoyment in rebuilding a bike that probably ended up scrapped in a year or 2 !

Nice job, you were lucky that the frame did not have any serious rust, did you strip the paint yourself or have it blasted & rust treated (as with car bodies). Do you intend riding it when its complete?

hi
Hi John, yeah hoping to ride back and fore work in the summer and popping to the shops, only in dry weather !
I stripped the paint myself, well some guys in work, we have some alcohol baths which will strip right back to bare metal which helps, didnt require much prep work and looking forward to riding it even though I dont even ride my other bikes, this is getting back to basics which what riding should be all about
