My tale so far . I picked up my townmate T80 a few weeks ago . It had not been on the road for 12 years . Cleaned the carb ,fitted a new plug and she started 1st kick . I have since resprayed her ,cleaned her up fitted a front and rear rack an old Rickman top box just waiting for some new tyres to go on . My question is I would like to fit a screen can any one recommend one .

I dont think you will find new ones available specifically for Townmate, but they often come up on eBay. You could always make your own, buy a piece of acrylic (Perspex) make a couple of brackets that fix on mirror fixings & you are done.

Here are a couple of pics of my home made screen

500mm wide x 338mm high from the top of headlamp cut out. Make the brackets first then make a card board template for the screen. When you have it right, cut the shape in the Perspex. I used 4mm, warm up the Perspex with a heater (hair dryer) to form a slight curve. The brackets I made from 25mm x 6mm aluminum strip I had lying around.
