Townmate T80 VIN / Frame Number

Hello there,
I was just looking for my frame number today, in order to send off for a replacement V5. I couldn't help noticing that the number stamped into the frame under the legshields was only 9 digits long, and identical to the number attached to the engine.
Are the frame number and engine number the same on Townmates? I've never heard of that before. Is the number I've found actually a frame number? It's quite short.

Yes frame & engine number the same. Begins with 35T followed by a 6 digit number. There is also a vinal sticker with frame number on rear mudguard offside.

Strange, but I don't have a frame number in a place described by manual.
My frame number is under front plastic, and it is different with engine number.
