Paint for the plastics
The central front panel which has the Yamaha emblem attached was badly cracked on my newly acquired T80. This part is now unavailable.
I removed the emblem and managed to repair the panel with Araldite and reinforcing the repair with pieces of cut-up credit card behind. After further filling and sanding I have finished off with Valspar project paint. Comes in a small spray can from B&Q and they do a colour called Creme de la Creme. It is a near perfect match for the legshield plastics. I used some white undercoat first and it now looks almost like new.

re paint job
This bike is in such good condition it seems a shame not to keep it looking reasonably presentable. I also like a challenge and get bored easily!

Hi AndrewP,
A Yamaha dealer in Greece can supply an aftermarket front panel and YAMAHA badge at a very reasonable price. They even stock aftermarket legshields. Give them a try:

Thanks for this - having a little trouble navigating round their website. Sounds a useful resource though.
