Last weekend we rode the North East 250. I used my Townmate 80 and my wife had a Honda Vision 110. The Townmate ran really well and had no bother going up over the Lecht from the Corgarff side. I would recommend this ride as it has a lot going for it. The run out from Aberdeen through Deeside is lovely then through the hills and mountains to finally following the coast from Spey Bay to Aberdeen. Maybe not as spectacular as the NC 500 that i also did on the Townmate but really good. The townmate got quite a few looks mainly due to the shaft drive which a few people were amazed to see it had. So glad I kept her and didnt sell on like I have done with plenty of other bikes !
