I'm looking at the best way, if possible, of restoring the plastic legshields. Whilst quite sound with no cracks or damage, there are a few deep scratches across the 'spine' (where the previous owner's boot sole has caught it) which I'm thinking might with care polish-out somewhat with wet & dry - the plastic looks thick and strong enough to withstand it. Would something like T-cut restore the whiteness though as they are rather cream-looking due to age and weathering etc, or should I just accept it.

Any ideas or experience of doing the same?

Yes fine wet and dry paper than T Cut look to be the solution, but getting deep scratches out may be difficult, personally scratches dont worry me as the bike is used for every day commuting not a show bike.

Hi, not sure if your still looking for a solution, but as last post says fine wet and dry it, then try using xerapol plastic polish will lots of elbow grease for deeper scratches tho'
