Fuel tap vaccum tubing
I recently needed to replace the small piece of rubber tubing that goes from the inlet manifold to fuel tap on my T80, it had split with age. Its no longer available new (A J Sutton) so looked on eBay & found this supplier Advance Fluid Systems at Battlesbridge, Essex who can supply good quality silicone rubber with 4mm bore which is ideal for the job. Min order qty is 1/2 metre at only £1.58 inc p&p. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silicone-Vacuum-Hose-Turbo-Dump-Radiator-Rubber-Air-Vac-Pipe-Auto-Silicon-Tubing-/140673417394?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item20c0ca00b2
Enough there to make about 10 hoses. There are other firms selling same stuff but AFS will supply in 1/2 metre lengths, most others 1 metre is min. The original hose is pre formed but the silicone replacement is very plyable & easily bends to fit ok. Its also heat resistant.

No problem its same wall thickness as original & works fine
Advantages of Silicone Hoses:
Silicone hoses can withstand far higher & lower temperatures than the standard EPDM rubber hoses commonly found in engines from OEM’s.
Increased durability, increased performance & an amazing finish in a variety of colours are the reasons why silicone hoses are the preferred choice for all motorsport teams & enthusiasts alike.
Silicone is ideal for water, forced air applications, induction joints, dump valves, air lines and many other uses including industrial applications and is Suitable for all Coolant Hoses, Washer Tubes, Air Hoses, Vacuum Hoses, Water Hoses and much more.
