Front and Rear Rack/Carrier.
Hi All,
Just need some advice on what rack carriers there are for the Townmate. I am looking for a rack for the front and the rear in chrome.
Are there genuine Yamaha ones to suit or only aftermarket?
Any help, appreciated.
Cheers, Frank.

Racks
The front rack is as fitted by Yamaha but only on the older 35T model (1983 -86) they sometimes come up on eBay. A pretty useless thing that was fitted to front muguard, would not take any substantial load.
The rear rack is an after market part made by various manufacturers. Again look on eBay there are usually some to be found on bikes being broken. I would not think many dealers would have them now unless old stock. Not much chance of finding any in Australia I would have thought.

Re: Front and Rear Rack/Carrier.
Thanks John, I might have to hunt around for the rear. That's exactly right, no chance of finding any here in Australia that would fit.
Would one off a Honda Cub fit do you think?
