Getting my 1984 T80 ready for its MOT. The only bit that worries me is the horn; it does just about sound, sometimes louder, sometimes barely audible.

Connections looked okay when I had the legshields off but I may need to have another look. My guess is the 6v electrics don't help but I need to fix the horn as a bad one will almost certainly mean my bike fails. Anything I can check??

The idle also seems very fast when on tickover. This I know though is quite easy to fix.

There is a small adjusting screw on rear of horn, try screwing this in or out, should 'tune' it in. If its louder with engine running then the battery is low (charge it up) or it may need a new battery
