T80 Windshield
hi Guys
I talked to JW about fitting a windshield to the T80 and he had in fact made his own which I commend him on his handy work. However at that time I noticed a cheap Chinese windcreen on ebay which was aimed at the modern 125 step through scooters. Having said that I reckoned at about £28.00 it was worth the gamble to fit one on the T80 ?
With minor modifications to the lower fixing brackets it fitted a treat and has been fully tested in our winter weather without any problems. The key part is buying one for a scooter which has a square headlight. I agree with JW that it seems to increase top speed a bit and I get no buffeting or additional wind noise See pics
Cheers
PS adding pics is a doddle isn't it ??

Very good work .
Because it is fixed to two points and with laminar supports,
does it tremble while driving;
PS: The flasher lights are positioned on the wrong side?

T80 Windshield
Hi Guys
Thanks for the comments.
Barker : I got mine from China Parts via ebay. China Parts are a UK based company in Co/Durham.
Duckrider : indicators - well spotted but that is how the bike came - no problem I will swap them round
the windscreen is very stable and is mounted the same way on the modern scooters.
Indicators ; as a matter of interest, My bike has the standard 6V system but as an experiment, I have improved the internal reflectors by super glueing small mirrors on the existing dull reflector and that has improved the brightness .
The mirrors were obtained from a local craft shop and are about 10mm square. It will be interesting to see if they are still in place after some road miles on rough roads?
When I change over the indicator lights I will take a pic and post it on the forum. On a recent ride with a pal he commented on the brightness of the indicators being good.
cheers

The screen I fitted is on ebay prices £29.06 by Lexmoto type UNVWDSC02 ( Honda , Jilun). You need to set the main fixing brackets to suit ( the brackets which fit to the mirror supports - not the uprights) - pretty obvious really. I have ridden about 400 miles with mine into strong winds and rain and up to 50 mph without any problems.
