Indicators on townmate

Hi anyone help me as my indicators won’t work on my townmate t80 1991 when the brakes are pressed. Work fine when not pressed I’ve installed a new battery and still the same. Thanks

Common problem with Townmate, but make sure all connections are good, pull out connecting plugs and spray with contact cleaner. As long as they work with engine running they will pass MoT. Yes, had the same problem with mine so ended up going to LED indicator bulbs, LED tail/stop bulb and LED suitable flasher unit. It is OK but not brilliant. Curiously, whereas with the old set up the indicators would work well at high engine revs but stop at low revs when the brake was aplied, now it is almost the reverse. Work brilliantly at low revs but when at speed and I indicate the flasher unit seems to get in a panic and flashes at a random rate. All part of the Townmate experience.
I'm just off to regrease the bevel drive, I might be some time....

Common problem with Townmate, but make sure all connections are clean, good earths, and that you gave correct bulbs in indicators, should be 10 watt.
