T80 Wheels / Rims...

Guys,

Does anyone know where I can get rims & spokes, my own are very rusty. I see there are some on ebay but the seller won't ship to ireland . Can anyone help pls

A J Sutton http://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/spares/modelImage.asp?modelID=9063&uID=741805210 do them (genuine Yamaha parts) but as usual with this dealer they are expensive, spokes are £23.37 for front wheel & £26.11 for rear & rims £51.41 each front or rear plus p&p.

Am i right in saying its a Size 1.40 x 17 with 36 Spokes

17 in x 36 spokes dont know about width

Wish Suttons would have a rethink and price their nos items more realistically. No way will they manage to shift a lot of their stock at the prices quoted.

I cant agree more, there are so few Townmate's around now that they will never sell the parts. The only owners who would pay these prices are people who are restoring a concours bike to show, but for keeping a Townmate on the road for everyday use (like mine) second hand spares are fine. Has anyone actually phoned up Suttons & asked if they will reduce prices?

Was going to pick up these - what do you think - are they worth a try

Go for it, 1/2 the price of genuine Yamaha ones, They only have one left though, but I suspect other suppliers will have them at similar price

Yea I see that - Sent a message to the seller - The only problem is that it's costing £28 to ship them to Ireland. Still - Will give them a try. Neet to get two tyres as well - This is costing me a fortune...

orking out at £ 67.96 for the two delivered to Ireland -Woudl I be better of buying of Suttons ?
