MPG of Townmate
Just done a check on my T80's mpg. I filled the tank to the bottom of filler neck, rode 24 miles & put in 750 mls to bring it back up to mark, I make that 144 mpg. The roads covered were a mix of local roads, a 5 mile stretch of A road and included a hill (about 1 in 8 for 1/2 mile in 3rd gear). I did not go more that 40 mph on derestricted roads & 30 mph in speed limits. I weigh 14 stone & the bike has a windscreen. If you thrash it flat out 45-50 mpg I am sure the mpg will drop drasticly. I find 40 mph a comfortable criusing speed which a T80 can maintain easily.

144mpg, that's great! That's what the new Honda Visions are claimed to do with FI.

MPG
Have done another fuel consumption check on my T80. Slightly lower at 131 mpg (107 miles on 3.7 litres) still good though.
I would add that I have a windscreen fitted which believe it or not gives better aerodynamics & performance. Without the screen the bike used to do only 120 mpg.

Interesting to read the MPG that different riders get with a T80. I've been riding mine for around a month now, I often ride it flat out (45-55) due to having to keep up with traffic on my way to work. I use a £1 worth of fuel to do 20 miles. I think that's about 90 mpg.
better than 30 mpg I get from my car
