DECALS and a good old MOAN
I would like to get my Townmate looking as if it has just been wheeled out of the showroom for the first time, so side panel decals are a must. Does anybody know where i can get some?.
On another note, there only seems to be three or four regular contributors on this forum, with 50 odd members surerly we can all have a little input into what is probably the best means we have of communicating with like minded enthusiasts, so come on lad's and lassie's PULL YOUR FINGER OUT.

Re: DECALS and a good old MOAN
Hi adespin,
We are all in the same boat. Both left and right decal are obsolete, discontinued and no stock in Japan.
Your best friend is eBay or doing the hard yards of contacting reputable Yamaha Dealers in the slight chance they might have NOS parts collecting dust.
At least you folk in the UK have that option, down here in Australia, no chance as the Townmate was never marketed or sold here.
I have recreated the artwork for the decals and sent them to a high quality automotive decal screen printer here in OZ who has reproduced decals for all the aussie makes and he doesn't seem to be interested because of the low volume run. Not worth it.
Who do Yamaha Japan use to produce their decals for all their products? It would have to be inhouse!.
Cheers, Frank.

Decals
The following post was recently placed on the Greeves Riders Association (GRA) web site, David Norwich is offering to make decals for bikes, so may be able to do Townmate ones
Tank Decals and any other stickers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure If this is any help for motorcycles? We manufacture as part of my fishing rod manufacturing business. Self adhesive decals for fishing rods and rod containers. It may have an application if a member has a need for a sticker or decal. We do design and artwork for these in house or from a customers drawing or idea.
More info here: www.davidnorwich.com and the link direct to the decals page here. http://www.davidnorwich.com/RodDecals.htm There is a video at the foot of that page showing how to apply them. It is very easy.
I'll be happy to help if I can - if anyone is stuck for the finishing touch on a project.
David.
