Spare parts
Hello,
As i decide to open my T50's engine i have to buy some parts.
a) I am looking for camshaft chain, as i read at manual it is a DID 25 with 82 links.
I found this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DID-25L-x-82-CAMCHAIN-CAM-CHAIN-CAM-TIMING-YAMAHA-T80-Townmate-83-PATTERN-/290983563195?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item43bff8cfbb
what is your opinion?
b) I have to change the clutch friction plates the old ones were these with this sign on, i don't know if this shows the manufacturer
What is the manufacturer you prefer?
In my country i can find clutch friction plates from EBC for 37 euros per set and SHARK for 6 euros per set.
Are the EBC ones so good for so much difference in price?
c) Also the camshaft tensioner and guide are in bad condition
and it is hard to find. Do you have a link or any info about these items?
Is it possible to find theme at a Yamaha representative?
Looking for these with the Yamaha cod i found these here https://s811.photobucket.com/user/mrfevgatos/media/Yamaha%20Townmate%20T50%20Service/engine/Dsc08583_zpse7361357.jpg.html?sort=9&o=34
but approximately EUR 15.10 for a piece of plastic are too much , i think.

Spare Parts
A J Sutton https://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/spares/modelImage.asp?modelID=9063&uID=0 do a limited range of GENUINE Yamaha parts including clutch plates & cam chain, but they have no stock of chain tensioners. But they are expensive & not sure if they will supply outside UK. (Maybe you have a Yamaha dealer in your country who can supply) Unless very badly worn the tensioners dont need replacing.
There are lots of firms selling chains brake shoes & clutch plates for Townmates on eBay (again some may not send to Athens) which I would think are perfectly suitable. DID chain, EBC brake shoes & clutch plates are of good quality though. I have used EBC brake shoes & they are OK.
