Re: T80 Service Guide
The bike was described as being in excellent condition. The images were carefully framed and the request for more was avoided.
I did but it know and made trip from lincoln down to Norwich and pulled up to a poorly painted rust repaired frame full of filler and the shaft drive and engine were manky
Paint missing in places and different colours. On the way down I'd received texts saying where's my money via paypal although the ad said cash on collection
The listing did say the bike was being sold to cover rent so I let that slide thinking he was just thinking of his cash flow
When we get there after confirming en route and expected ETA he says I'll just be 20mins while I run an errand!
It took about a dozen kicks to get going. Sounded ok. Now, the price was £620 but looked more like £200 to be honest. Very disappointed
I have since gone over to the dark side and got a c90
Have seen a few nice t50's but being a fat bastard...
I do still have a v90 and a v75a which is waiting for some TLC
If anybody local to Norwich is interested I can forward his number

Re: T80 Service Guide
thanks Ally for the update you need to be very careful when buying before looking at the bike a tin of filler and some fresh paint can cover much rust.

Re: T80 Service Guide
Yep. That's the one
I wasn't able to link as using my phone
For couple hundred I would of had it. Just not £600. Son took a day off work, couple hundred miles and bacon roll so annoying. Bacon roll was the bizz though!

The bike I looked at has been posted on gumtree herehttp://www.gumtree.com/p/yamaha-motorbikes/yamaha-townmate-80cc-1984/1095657893http://www.gumtree.com/p/yamaha-motorbikes/yamaha-townmate-80cc-1984/1095657893
He called me a time waster
Anybody wanting a look suggest you offer around the £200 mark
