head gasket replacement, help with cylinder head removal please.
Hi there,
Ive got a leaking head gasket so I need to remove the cylinder head to replace with a new gasket.
This is a job i have done a few times on my modern day motocross bikes so with my T80 it ought to be simple enough job i hope, but im hoping someone an point me in the right direction with a few questions i have, as i have no manual for my T80.
Firstly how do I set the timing to TDC? (where are the relevent markers) I presume there is one in the crankcase? i also see the line on the camchain sprocket but what do I align it with?
Secondly once ive set the timing to TDC how do I then undo the camchain sprocket? do i need a special tool to prevent the sprocket turning with the bolt?
step by step instructions on cylinder head removal would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance
Mike.

Hi Mike, Some one will be a long, but to be honest getting hold of a Haynes manual might be the way to go here

Yes too complicated to explain on here you need to buy a Haynes Manual, plenty on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050890.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XYamha+T80+Townmate+Haynes+Manual.TRS0&_nkw=Yamha+T80+Townmate+Haynes+Manual&_sacat=0
