I want to graft better front forks and suspension on the townmate.

What other bikes forks would be a good match for the Townmate?

I have seen on youtube these bikes called Yamaha Kryton's with compatible front forks, compatible engine and swingarm and rear wheel!

Did these ever get released in the uk under a different name?

This is apparently a Yamaha Kryton http://imganuncios.mitula.net/yamaha_krypton_z_2007_model_96635400371496791.jpg
Nothing like a Townmate it has tele forks & chain drive.

apparently the engine and swingarm and forks all fit our townmates, if you are okay about not having a drive shaft!

have a study of the greek youtube video's, im pretty certain the bike you linked is the machine they are using out in greece to retrofit the townmates

The link does not work, anyway what is the point of all the work?
The whole attraction of the Townmate is the shaft drive if you are going to convert to chain drive, and that will mean a series mod to the gearbox final drive output from bevel gear to sprocket.
Anyway where are you going to find a doner Kryton, they were not imported to the UK, so you are unlikely to find one in a breakers yard.
The nearest equivalent to the Kryton would appear to be the Honda AFS 110i http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/range/125cc/wave-110i-2012/offers/finance.html although there are some cheaper Chinese built ones available.
