wiring oooo great
friend just got a t80 wiring nightmare for me I think
so far ive found one indicator front left working
brake lights working
nut light
front side light and headlamp all fine with engine running
wont idle at present and just noticed engine does not cut out when you turn the ign switch off
oooo the joys of wiring
nothing works unless the motor is running either nothing at all new battery motobatt fitted
would the non idle be something to do with the electric's at present
good few days ahead I think

Only brake light, neutral & indicator lights in speedo, indicators & horn work off battery. All others direct from generator when engine running. see here for wiring diagram https://yamahatownmatet80.forumotion.co.uk/t233-townmate-wiring-diagram?highlight=wiring+diagram

Re: wiring oooo great
Not turning off with the ignition means the black wire from the ignition switch isn't connected correctly, or earth system not good.
Had the issue with mine as when I rebuilt mine I connected systems one at a time to ensure they all worked and found that to be the problem.
Not idling is more likely a problem with the engine, drawing air in at inlet manifold or carb needing cleaned.

Not idling – check both intake and exhaust valve clearances.
