T80 grey import for £1100

This is a 'grey import' from Japan, little or no rust & probably as near as one will get to a new one these days
Upside its 12 volt electrics with 'self' start, which I assume means electric start.
Downside speedo is in kilometers per hour but a UK mph one should fit, its done 16000kms (10000 miles) Its only got a single seat but again a UK spec dual seat should fit. Strangely the indicators are the old style, not the rubber extended ones used on the later UK bikes.
Its not as yet road registered but seller, a dealer says they could help with MoT & registration. That would be advisable as DVLA paperwork may be a bit tricky. I wonder why the dealer has not already registered it!
Price is a bit on the high side.
Dealer is Seven Seas Motors (Mark Gibson)

Re: T80 grey import for £1100
I spoke to Mark Gibson today & he tells me that he and a mate are planning to bring in more of these 'grey import' T80's if there is a market for them. I said I think there would be if they were fully UK registered & MoT'd pror to sale. They could increase the dying numbers of UK bikes, and provide a good usable commuter bike for those who dont like modern twist & goes. Mark confirmed that they have 12 volt lighting & electric start, something that has been discussed on here recently & which would make the bikes a better proposition than spending money on restoring a rusty UK model. Doner parts like dual seat, MPH speedo & the later rubber indicators & rear light could be salvaged from existing UK MoT failure bikes.
If price could be reduced to say £750 or £800 & think they would sell well.
