Ady from what I recall it runs up to the steering head Breather? but I might be wrong, John will know be along soon cheers Gaz

Correct, as you say its a breather pipe, it goes up the front frame tube & the bend goes up under the plastic lower headlamp nacelle .
Note the Haynes manual has this wrongly listed as a fuel pipe, its not.
