Strange Emblem

Have you ever seen something like this? Probably placed at leg shield?

Never seen this badge before, not used on UK bikes, but could have been a Japanese home market model, or one supplied to other countries. Not sure if the Townmate was sold in USA but 'Custom' sound a bit American

Today I managed to contact the seller.

He claims that the emblems are genuine and are embossed.
They are fastened to the plastics lid panels just like the one at the leg shield.

These are, as he says, products that he has removed from used motorcycles imported from Japan.

Sell new, used, or even set with plastic side covers.
Couple price for used without covers 25 euro.

For me it is a good idea to place them if someone has lids without stickers.
It sculpts the printing and will have no problem in the future to fade.

But I personally will not believe it is a genuine part, it's the first time I see these.

Yamaha like Honda and other Jap motorcycle manufacturers sold bikes all over the world, and built specific models for different countries, this badge is probably from a Japanese home market bike.
