The attached pic was recently posted on Facebook by a Townmate owner. Looks like the bottom U shaped mounting has become detached from the damper rod, looks like that the damper rod was not fully tightened with the lock nut. As a double precaution Locktite should be used on the thread. Not sure if these are still available in UK, I think they were imported from Greece by an eBay parts supplier, cant see any on eBay now. Anyone who has bought and fitted these units needs to check them.
