Pick up my T80 today
I couldn't have picked a worse do to take ownership of my new bike then ride it 90 miles home, it rained all the way. About 10 mile from home I noticed it getting louder, then when going over bumps it would get very loud for a brief moment. A quick revealed that the exhaust BOLTS had come loose, easily tightened, but that will never do, they need sorting properly with stainless studs. Other than that the ride was great, really back to basics and fun. I'm looking forward to seeing is mu girlfriend like riding it, if not, I'll have plenty of fun with it!

Thanks Gaz, It looks like I was wrong about the exhaust situation, the down pipe has snapped at the clamp. I ordered a genuine Honda cub exhaust and am hoping to make it fit ?

Let us know if the Honda one fits (I have received conflicting views despite Admin drgaz saying one fitted his bike OK), I think it depends upon the year of the Honda as to whether it fits. If not try http://www.motorcycleproducts.co.uk/catalogue/t80-parts-yamaha-c-2070_4878.html they now have stock of pattern T80 ones.

Thanks for the link John, I especially liked the £53 Iridium spark plug they sell . I got the exhaust to fit and posted how to on the thread in the help section.

Re: Pick up my T80 today
The plugs are now £50.34 (for 4) from Motorcycle Products, & £9.99 each from Halfords so not much discount for quantity although MP do them post free but would you ever use 4.SpeedTorque wrote:Thanks for the link John, I especially liked the £53 Iridium spark plug they sell . The next things I need are brake cable, shoes and a choke cable. How do those compare for prices at MP?
