Lads,

I haven't been on in a while so forgive me for jumping in with a question. I'm looking for some help.

Does the Townmate below look too far gone to keep on the road? The engine is perfect but there is no front brakes (no cables i believe). Also there is a holdin the exhaust...

I can pick it up for very small money €100ish. I want the front carier and light scround for my showroom T80. The tail piece is with the bike but currently broken away. It doesn't sound promising to keepthe bike on the road...

Only any good for spares as frame is knackered, £100 would be top whack unless you were desperate for an engine. Not much else any good except maybe legshields, switches, indicators & rack. Wheels look well rusty.

I would offer £75 tops take what you need scrap the frame cut the hubs out the rims keep what John said you should make your money back on selling the rest, foot pegs wiring loom side panels switch gear loads of parts to sell . :d\\'-\\': weigh the rest in as scrap

Thanks for the feedback lads.

I'm was paying €100 euro which is about £75gbp.

The front basket is what I'm really after along with the chrome rim for around the headlight.

100 euros is a lot to pay for a rusty front rack. They omitted them from the later bikes presumably because they were useless to carry anything of any size & if you did would make the bike unstable. Why on earth would you want to fit one of these!!
