Hi.
Can any one help I have just bought a carb of ebay from argyr_maria in greese for my 1996 townmate t80 it`s not got any numbers stamped on it & the throat size is about 15mm smaller than my original carb I think it`s for a t50 am I right or not.

Yes it would be for a T50 they do have a smaller carb, but only about 3mm not 15mm smaller. The T80 carb is 18mm bore.
Its a bit naughty of the Greek seller to advertise it for a T80. I think you have a case for a refund as the goods were not as advertised. The carb will work on the T80 but with reduced performance.
The carb types are VM14SHÂ (T50) & VM16SH (T80)

John, where exactly are you measuring 16mm? Is that on the intake manifold side?
If so, I have a NOS carby for the Townmate that measures 18mm.
