T80 new purchase
Found time to begin service of new to me t80, filter media just mush with small open crack on air side of filter box. Ordered replacement filter parts from Fowlers but out of stock for crankcase gasket (want to check oil filter screen). ANY suggestions where else I could try or is it necessary to buy complete kit? Also changed km speedo for mph one with the help of my grandson.

Gasket
You can make your own gasket from gasket paper plenty for sale on eBay, or from motorist shops like Wilco. Check size before you order as many are A4 size which my not be big enough. Plenty for sale on eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.XGasket+Paper.TRS0&_nkw=Gasket+Paper&_sacat=0

Re: T80 new purchase
Thanks for that John, did get one from Fowlers but not the same, mine is electric start and there is a hump in the crankcase to accommodate that so did end up making one. Replaced air filter and repaired air box, changed oil and cleaned screen, oil had not been changed in a while evidently. Will be tackling valves and shaft drive next so ordered correct grease for that. I need to find a wiring diagram for the electric start model if anyone has any suggestions? Haynes only show 6v Kick start model. Enjoyed my first ride this eve and was an "experience", bouncy and funny in a step thru kind of way, shame you can't add some spring preload and compression damping!

Electric start model never imported into UK looks like a later Jap home market one. I think you will struggle to find a manual on these and if you do it will probably be written in Japanese. Most of the frame parts & final drive should be the same.
