As you will know, you no longer need to pay VED or get a vehicle MoT tested once it is 40 years old.

My machine was registered in March 1984 but can anyone tell me how I can determine the year/month of manufacture?
The tykes at Yamaha demand £50 for a dating letter!

Thanks.

Its the Manufactured date that is important, but presume this is the same as registration date on the V5c,  It will be 40 years old next year so better to wait till then, tax only costs £24 so paying £50 for a dating cert from Yamaha does not make sense
